Interested in Winter Swim?

July 14, 2024

Hello, Shark families!

We have seen a lot of progress from our Sharks this season. If we want to see that progress continue throughout their swimming careers, consistency is key. Swimming takes a level of practice and conditioning very different from land sports.  The element of being in water doesn’t provide much crossover from land sports. The best way to build on the things we did this summer is by swimming! There are several clubs/ learn-to-swim programs in the immediate area that would be great options for swimming this winter. Below we have listed the three clubs that tend to pull the most kids from our area, however, we urge you to find a program that you feel best meets your child’s needs.

Does this mean you need to commit to practice 5 days a week? No. I understand school, other sports, and family life keep everyone busy. Baby Morgan makes sure I know that my schedule is actually her schedule. But if you have 1-3 nights/week where you can keep your Shark in the water over the winter, it will go a LONG way to maintaining and building on what we developed this summer.
