Last week, the Subcommittee Chairs and I saw the cover of the pool coming off for the 2025 season! This 70-degree weather is giving us Spring Fever! Only 19 days till our season officially starts! But who’s counting??
We are happy to report that the swim team has 125 registered swimmers! We are growing and thrilled to see so many returning and new faces. We have a lot of new Shark families and can’t wait to meet you all. Please continue encouraging friends who are interested or considering the team to contact us. SHARK OPEN HOUSE
Swim Team Open House on Tuesday, April 29, 5p-7:30p
Kick off our 2025 Shark season with Coaches, Swimmers, and Parents.
Key things to do when you arrive:
- Come hang and enjoy dinner with family and friends!
- Meet Coach Paul, myself, and some of our amazing parent volunteers
- Learn about signing up for a parent job at one of our home meets.
- Come see and try-on swimsuits and apparel.
- Shark car flags, car magnets, BAC Shark stickers, and personalized shark ponchos will be available to purchase/order. Thank you, Laura Shullman, for organizing!
Dinner Cost: $35 for adults and $25 for kids

We recognize spring schedules are hectic so come and go when you can. If you cannot make it, you can try on a suit at the Bloomfield Sport Shop. Be sure to tell them you are with BAC so they can get you the selected suit.
Apparel
The Apparel online store is officially open! After member feedback, we decided to offer a couple more women’s suit options (see below) as well as shorts. If you already ordered your suit but are interested in purchasing one of the new suit offerings below, please email swimteam@bacmi.net.
Please note some key information before going to the online store:
- The Bloomfield Sport Shop suggests viewing the online store on either a computer, laptop, or tablet.
- Under the Complimentary Team Gear section, select a t-shirt bundle for each of your swimmers.
- E.g. If you have two swimmers you will have to add it to your “cart” 2 times.
- It will show up in your cart as $0.00 at check-out.
- In order to guarantee a complimentary shirt and cap, you must order by 5/11. After that, limited quantities may be available.

PRE SEASON
Pre-season starts May 12. It is offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday through June. Please note the 2025 swim season will NOT be separated into Spring and Summer but will be one 10-week season. “School Schedule” and “Summer Schedule” are included in one price. Please join us at the pool and come when you can!

SPONSORSHIPS
Sponsorships are key to the success of our swim program. Funds raised help us cover the costs of things like ribbons and awards, MICSA fees, Saturday bagels, away meet bus experience, DJs, tech fees, decorations, prizes, and much more.
Commitment deadline is June 1.

SWIMMER CUSTOM FLAGS
Swimmer favorite, custom swim flags are again available. Flags are displayed around the pool area for the duration of the swim season. They are used for two years.To order a flag(s), please email swimteam@bacmi.net
Indicate if you would like a family flag (last name only $150) or swimmer flag (first and last name $125)

ADULT LAP SWIM INTEREST???
