Years as a SHARK: 2021โ2023, returning this season
Campbell has spent more than a decade in the pool and returned to the SHARKS this season, saying she has been loving it! Throughout her swimming career, she has learned valuable life lessons that extend far beyond the water.
What swimming has taught her:
“Time managementโand that being on time means arriving 15 minutes early!”
Favorite SHARK memories:
Campbell’s favorite memories include playing ultimate frisbee with teammates, neighborhood dryland runs, and hosting Finals in 2022. These moments of teamwork and fun are what have made her SHARK experience so special.
What’s next?
This fall, Campbell will continue both her academic and athletic career at Hillsdale College, where she will be swimming and studying.
Advice for younger SHARKS:
“Listen to your coaches ๐ and enjoy being a SHARK!!”
Congratulations, Campbell! We know you’ll do amazing things, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.
๐ฆ Jade Myers, 18
Years of Competitive Swimming: Four years of high school swimming
Years as a SHARK: 13 years
For 13 years, Jade has been an integral part of the SHARK family. Along the way, she has developed not only as a swimmer but also as an encouraging teammate and leader.
What swimming has taught her:
Jade says swimming has taught her how to compete while also supporting others through both successes and challenges. She’s built lifelong friendships with teammates of all ages and learned the importance of encouraging others to be their very best.
Favorite SHARK memories:
Some of Jade’s favorite memories include leading the famous Rumble Cheer at home meetsโa tradition she’s loved since she was littleโas well as Wednesday pancake breakfasts and simply spending time around the pool with her teammates.
What’s next?
Jade will attend Michigan State University this fall, where she plans to study Computer Science.
Advice for younger SHARKS:
“Be connected with the whole team, not just the people your own age. And take in every moment because it goes by so much faster than you think.”
Congratulations, Jade! Thank you for your years of dedication, leadership, and SHARK spirit. We can’t wait to see all you’ll accomplish.
๐ Once a SHARK, Always a SHARK
Campbell and Jade, thank you for the memories, the leadership, and the example you’ve set for the swimmers who will follow in your footsteps. Your SHARK family is incredibly proud of you and wishes you nothing but success in this exciting new chapter.
