We were excited to meet new families at the Summer Showcase. Thank you to those who attended. Our next two events, the Open House and Parent & Alumni Night Out will be great opportunities to learn more about the program, and socialize with swimmers and parents. Look forward to seeing you there.
Please note that swimmers must be registered by May 1 in order to receive a team t-shirt. The Apparel Committee & Paul picked out an awesome design – you won’t want to miss out.
The online stores to purchase apparel and personalized towels will be open soon. We are excited about the different items and looks offered this year. Samples will be available at the Open House.

SHARK SEASON KICK OFF OPEN HOUSE
Please join us for the Swim Team Open House on Tuesday, April 23, 5p-7p
Kick off our 2024 Shark season with Coaches, Swimmers, and Parents. Great opportunity to ask questions, learn more or just hang out with Sharks… and win prizes! Varsity Shop will be onsite to see and try-on apparel. Online store will remain open until May 1.
And NEW this year, come check out and buy a Spirit Bundle. The easiest most fun way to ensure you are Shark ready for the season.
Dinner will be offered.

PARENT & ALUMNI NIGHT OUT
Join us at the club on Saturday, May 11 at 6p for a Parent and Alumni night out. This will be a great chance to meet new faces and see those you’ve missed since last July. Summer is a lot for parents. Let’s celebrate ourselves and the fun we’re going to have this season ahead. There will be eats, drinks, island tunes, and highly coveted raffle items (club parking spot, hint hint).
Theme is ISLAND TIME (a little taste of this year’s MICSA Swim Finals). More details to follow soon.
T-SHIRT SIZES
If you were not prompted to provide or update your child’s t-shirt size when registering, please do so right away in
TeamUnify. Navigate to
My Account > Account Info > Members. Last year we had issues with people mistakenly selecting Adult and not Youth sizes Please ensure your child’s size is entered correctly. This will be used to order our 2024 team t-shirt. Once they are in, we can not fix sizing problems. Swimmers must be registered by May 1 to receive a team t-shirt.
SWIM GROUPS
If you registered, despite the “pending status”, you are approved. We will not formally approve registrations in the system until practice starts in order to ensure you are billed for the appropriate level. If your child is new to the team, please contact Coach Paul to set up an evaluation:
pellis@bacmi.net.
If your child is returning but thinks they may level up, Paul will evaluate at the first practice.
PRE-SEASON
Pre-Season starts May 13. It is offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday through May 25. Sign up by day or for the week in TeamUnify.

VOLUNTEERING
Thank you to all who have signed up to volunteer at our meets. As a reminder, we ask that every family please sign up to volunteer at one of our four home events (6/1, 6/18, 6/25 and 7/9). Our swim team cannot function without the support of all of our family volunteers. The main help needed is for timing (we must have two timers per lane). While this may sound daunting, most timers end up loving it. It gives you a chance to be behind the blocks (otherwise a no-no for parents), to be part of the action (you may even get splashed a bit) and meet other swimmers and parents.
A parent or family representative must volunteer for the whole meet or the shift can be split between people. Links to sign up are available on TeamUnify respective to the dates. Navigate to Events, Respective Event (ie June 18 Home Meet vs CCD, Job Signup)
Swim Chairs are available to provide more information and clarity if needed.
