Our swim season officially starts MONDAY! The BAC Staff has been working tirelessly to make sure the pool is ready for another great summer! Thank you, BAC Staff! As of right now, it looks like the weather will be fabulous. Join us at the pool when you can!
I know this weekend is busy so if you can only read a little of this, please make sure to note these 3 key items:
- Make sure to order your FREE TEAM SHIRT and CAP by this Sunday 5/11.
- If your swimmer needs placement, please sign-up in Commit.
- Review the practice schedule for the week below (also can be found in Commit).
- ⚠️PRACTICE CHANGE⚠️ Due to smaller group sizes during pre-season, the JAWS and HAMMERHEAD practice has been combined on Saturday (5/17 & 5/24, 9:00a-10:30a).

APPAREL
Even if you aren’t buying any new apparel, you need to go to the online store and order your swimmers’ complimentary t-shirt and cap.
***Please submit your orders by 5/11. Ordered apparel will be distributed at the Blue & White Meet on 6/7.
Please note some key information before going to the online store:
- The Bloomfield Sport Shop suggests viewing the online store on either a computer, laptop, or tablet.
- Under the Complimentary Team Gear section, select a t-shirt bundle for each of your swimmers.
- E.g. If you have two swimmers you will have to add it to your “cart” 2 times.
- It will show up in your cart as $0.00 at check-out.
- In order to guarantee a complimentary shirt and cap, you must order by 5/11. After that, limited quantities may be available.

Swimmer Group Placement
Per Paul’s previous post, if your swimmer registered as Needs Placement, please sign-up for a placement swim under the ‘Jobs’ tab in Commit. Only one sign-up is needed per family.
**If your swimmer swam last year but, you think they may level up, go to the practice group they were in last season. Paul will evaluate at their first practice.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE
The practice schedule for the swim season is available via the Calendar tab in Commit. The general practice times are now posted under the Calendar tab on the website as well. It is important to read the weekly newsletter since practices may be modified as meets and events arise throughout the season.

FIN PRACTICE TIME SIGN-UP
Typically, FINS practice 3 times a week on either Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. Once placements are done, we will determine how many FIN practice groups are needed. A practice time sign-up will shortly follow.
We realize people are eager to get their summer schedules in place, thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.
PARENT JOB SIGN-UP
We are off to a good start with Parent Job sign-ups! Thank you to all who have already signed up. Volunteering is the key to our team’s success. We ask that each family sign up for one job. Some of you have asked questions about what each of these “jobs” do. Kelly Groth, our meet chair, has kindly put together a job information sheet. THANK YOU, KELLY!

🦈🦈🦈NEW THIS SEASON: The club has generously offered to award a free drink ticket to any parent who signs up for more than one job. Drink tickets can be redeemed upon your arrival of each additional job session. Drink tickets can be used at Shark events where alcohol is served. Tickets can be picked up at the awards table during meets.
SPONSORSHIPS

Sponsorships for Platinum and Gold are still available. Sponsorships are key to the success of our swim program. Funds raised help us cover the costs of things like ribbons and awards, MICSA fees, Saturday bagels, away meet bus experience, DJs, tech fees, decorations, prizes, and much more.
Commitment deadline is June 1.

SWIMMER CUSTOM FLAGS
Swimmer favorite, custom swim flags are again available. Flags are displayed around the pool area for the duration of the swim season. They are used for two years. To order a flag(s), please email swimteam@bacmi.net
Indicate if you would like a family flag (last name only $150) or swimmer flag (first and last name $125)
